Hillary Rodham Clinton

Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton comes to Chicago this spring for a sold-out talk organized by the Chicago Humanities Festival. 

Clinton, is a native of Park Ridge, a Chicago suburb where she grew up in a middle-class home. On a trip to Chicago, she way the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. speak, and according to her website, that speech sparked a passion for activism. On May 22, she will talk about her upbringing and how her childhood in the Chicago area laid the foundation for  her remarkable life and career.

Clinton has served as First Lady of the United States of America, Secretary of State and a U.S. Senator in addition to becoming the first woman to win a major party’s nomination for president in the 2016 election.

She will share her work advocating for civic engagement through Onward Together, an organization that encourages people to get involved, organize and run for office.
