The annual Lifetime Chicago Triathlon returns Saturday, August 26, through Sunday, August 27. One of the world’s largest triathlons will host five stand-alone races: the International, the Sprint, the SuperSprint, the Kids Tri Senior division, and the Kids Tri Junior division.

Lifetime will also be hosting a sixth event, the Triple Challenge. This race only offers a small number of triathletes the opportunity to compete in three races in one weekend, totaling 59 miles of biking, swimming, and running. The division will require racers to complete the SuperSprint on Saturday and the International and Sprint races on Sunday.

The main race event of the weekend, the International and the Sprint, offers the most complete triathlon experience you can get. Both races will occur in the city's heart, beginning at Monroe Harbor, traveling down Lake Shore Drive, through the museum campus, and ending in Grant Park.

The SuperSprint and Kids Tri will take place on Saturday at Foster Beach. Racers will begin their short swim on the beach before biking on Simonds Drive and ending with a run on the lake shore path.
