Chicago’s favorite indoor amusement center Whirlyball is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the ultimate ‘Totally 90s’ themed party on Sunday, January 14, from 6-9 p.m.. Escape the freezing winter temps and enjoy a night of competitive fun, entertainment, and exceptional food and drink.
First opening in Lombard in 1993, Whirlyball started as a single location with a few arcade games and a concession window. 30 years later, and the amusement destination has expanded to 5 locations across the Midwest.
Whirlyball’s ‘Totally 90s’ themed extravaganza will transport partygoers back to the early 90s for an exclusive retro experience featuring laser tag, bowling, and Whirlyball! Guests can take advantage of discounted old-school game pricing and nosh on snacks from Whirlyball’s original concessions menu.

The event will also feature a pop-up from local vintage retail hotspot Kokorokoko, offering guests the chance to shop the coolest vintage clothing from the Whirlyball era circa 1993. Be sure to don your best 90s garb for the 90s Sneaker + Outfit contest, judged by the Kokorokoko team.
“There was no better way to close out this milestone anniversary, than by taking our loyal fans back to the era when Whirlyball first began,” says Whirlyball CEO, Adam Elias. “We’re inviting everyone to celebrate alongside us, as we both honor our first 30 years and celebrate our exciting next chapter.”
Beat the winter blues this weekend with Whirlyball’s ‘Totally 90s’ throwback party of the year. Tickets are available now for advanced purchase.
