Lighthouse ArtSpace Chicago – currently featuring the ‘Immersive Van Gogh’ exhibit through Sun., Feb. 26 – will put on the world premiere of a new show next month. Starting Fri., March 10, ‘Mozart Immersive: The Soul of a Genius!’ will take over the venue in the historic Germania Place building of Gold Coast.

The exhibit allows visitors to step inside the mind of the musical genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with state-of-the-art artificial intelligence. Surrounding visuals will allow the audience to immerse themselves in scenery from the 18th century. Legendary dancer and actor Mikhail Baryshnikov will also make a cameo appearance depicting Mozart’s father via digital performance.

The 360-degree experience features a screen with over 90 million pixels and recordings of Mozart’s music performed by a 45-piece symphony orchestra led by four-time Grammy-nominated conductor Constantine Orbelian. Music will feature 17 selected Mozart pieces rearranged by Italian composer Luca Longobardi, including timeless classics like Magic Flute, Don Giovanni, Marriage of Figaro, and Rondo Alla Turca (Turkish March).

The exhibit will run through Mon., May 29. Get tickets online before they sell out.
