Chicago’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
Chicago’s award-winning Thanksgiving Day Parade returns on Thursday, November 23 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Traveling up State Street, from Ida B. Wells Drive, to Randolph Street, the parade’s 89th year will showcase talent from across the country. The festive event will host live performances, marching bands, special units, equestrians, floats and many more. For those who can’t make it in person, the parade can be streamed for free via Pluto TV.
Life Time Turkey Trot 5k & 8k
Lace up your running shoes! On Thanksgiving morning Life Time is bringing back their 45th annual Turkey Trot 5k & 8k and the Plymouth Rock Ramble Kids Race. Supporting the Greater Chicago Food Depository, runners can ensure that no Chicagoan will go hungry during the holiday season. After the race, Life Time will be hosting their Turkey Day Tailgate with activities like corn hole and football toss, accompanied by some warm apple cider.
The Godfrey Hotel
For those looking for somewhere special to go this Thanksgiving, The Godfrey Hotel will celebrate this year with a special Thanksgiving Dinner. Their buffet will include a carving station, salad bar, dessert bar and more. The buffet is $65 for adults and $15 for children, open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

DineAmic Hospitality’s famous steakhouse will be pulling out all the stops for Thanksgiving dinner this year. The grand buffet will feature a variety of selections from a stellar raw bar to a mouth-watering carved meat station. Their grand feast will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will be $95 per person and $35 per child.
Thanksgiving Night Hangs at Central Park Bar
Looking for an after-dinner unwind? Central Park Bar invites Chicagoans to enjoy some seasonal drinks and hang out after Thanksgiving dinner from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Visitors can enjoy a $9 beer and shot combo alongside some specialty cocktails like Boozy Hot Cider and Bad Apple. Their outdoor bar will be heated and covered, giving guests the chance to play bumper pool and enjoy the fire pits.
Late-Night Thanksgiving Nightcap at Remedy
For another post-Thanksgiving late-night hangout, Remedy will offer up a seasonal nightcap from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. They’re offering a variety of local brews and specialty cocktails like the In-Cider Trading with Ketel One Peach and Orange Blossom Vodka, apple cider, lemon juice, and ginger beer, and the Howl at the Loom with Howler Head Banana Whiskey, Leopold Bros. Lime Cordial, and Heirloom Pineapple Amaro.
