Chicago's 110th annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is ready to brighten up the holiday season on Friday, November 17, beginning at 5 p.m. in Millenium Park.
According to a statement from the city, the 2023 event will include multiple viewing locations with screens and concessions around the park and a new main stage at Washington Street and Michigan Avenue. The main stage will feature holiday programming followed by the traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony and fireworks.
The ceremony will also feature performances from the cast of BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical, Chicago Dance Crash, Walt Whitman and the Soul Children of Chicago, and others.
Can’t make the tree light? No problem! This year’s majestic 45-foot Colorado Blue Spruce will be on display at the park from November 17 until January 7, 2024.
The annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is free and open to the public. For more information visit the City of Chicago’s official site.
