Beatrix and Beatrix Market are celebrating National Coffee Day by offering $1 drip coffee all day on Tuesday, September 29.
With partly-cloudy weather and temperatures in the low-60s, Streetervillians can enjoy their fix at Beatrix Market (673 N St Clair St.), which offers an outdoor seating area. The restaurant’s other locations include the Loop and River North.
According to nationaltoday.com, the history of National Coffee Day “seems a bit, well, cloudy,” but may have come about as “a jolting reminder to get back to work following a long summer.” National Coffee Day is celebration in locations around the globe including Brazil, Costa Rica, Ireland, and Japan.
Besides offering the special price, Beatrix will post the top three photos of its #BeatrixCoffeeContest to the @BeatrixRestaurants Instagram story on September 28. The restaurant created the contest by inviting customers to “post a photo to Instagram showing how you enjoy your Beatrix coffee,”
The winner will be announced on September 30.
