Dom's Kitchen & Market, an upscale grocery chain with a focus on local food, is set to open its newest location in Chicago's River North neighborhood by next summer, according to CEO Don Fitzgerald in an interview with Winsight Grocery Business.

The store will be situated on the first floor of 30 W. Huron Street, formerly the site of a Whole Foods, and will encompass 25,000 square feet.

The forthcoming River North venue marks the third Dom's Kitchen & Market launch since its inception in 2021. Dom’s first location opened in Lincoln Park in 2021, and an Old Town location followed soon after in 2022.

Fitzgerald remains optimistic about the company's expansion, stating, "As our footprint in Chicago grows, so does the Dom's team, and our ability to support local vendors, serve our community, and create new job opportunities."With the opening of the River North store, Dom's Kitchen & Market anticipates generating 150 new full and part-time positions.

As part of Dom’s commitment to nurturing local talent and industry, the company actively collaborates with regional vendors to supply their stores with the highest quality products and ingredients.

For now, Chicagoans can look forward to a new shopping destination that caters to their culinary needs while also supporting local businesses and bolstering job growth in the community. The new River North addition is a testament to Dom's Kitchen & Market's ongoing dedication to expanding Chicago's thriving food scene and elevating customer experiences.
