Chicago’s Wrigley Field will host the annual NHL Winter Classic in 2025, marking the second iteration of the premier ice hockey event at the historic stadium since 2009. The Chicago Blackhawks will go head-to-head against the St. Louis Blues in the first game of the year on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
The Chicago Blackhawks previously hosted the Detroit Red Wings at Wrigley Field in 2009. The 2025 game will make this their fourth Winter Classic appearance, the most of any NHL franchise. The 2025 Winter Classic will be the St. Louis Blues' third participating Winter Classic. They last hosted the event at Busch Stadium in 2017, defeating the Blackhawks 4-1.
More details for the 2025 NHL Winter Classic will be announced at a later date, including ticketing information and game start times. You can be the first to know when tickets go on sale by signing up for notifications through the Chicago Blackhawks website.
