The iconic space housing the Signature Room restaurant, situated on the 95th and 96th floors of the former John Hancock Center in Chicago, has been put up for sale. Real estate firm Cushman and Wakefield have been retained to handle the sale of the 26,168-square-foot property at 875 North Michigan Avenue, according to Crain's Chicago Business.
The Signature Room, which opened in 1993, has become a staple of the Chicago dining scene, known for its upscale dining, contemporary American cuisine, and breathtaking views of the skyline and Lake Michigan. Over the years, the restaurant has received numerous accolades, such as "Most Romantic Restaurant," "Best View," and the "Business Impact of the Year Award" by The Greater North Michigan Avenue Association.
Despite challenges in the real estate market, brokers argue the Signature Room property remains a strong long-term investment, with the operator now signed through the end of 2031. The space has also seen a recent $1.5 million capital investment.

The Signature Room and Signature Lounge were established in July 1993 by Rick Roman, Nick Pyknis, and their staff under the hospitality management company, Infusion Management Group. The company focused on a market-driven approach to announce and establish the Signature Room and Signature Lounge as the premier dining and entertainment destination in Chicago. Over the years, the restaurant has consistently garnered awards and recognition, including 22 Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards of Excellence since 1994.
This sale offers a unique opportunity for investors to acquire a high-profile property that has become an integral part of the quintessential Chicago experience.
