After a quarter century of floral celebrations, Macy's has decided to end its yearly Flower Show display at its State Street location.
"Creating stunning gardens in unexpected settings throughout the store for our customers, community and visitors for more than 25 years has been an honor," Macy's spokeswoman Julianne Olivo said in an email.
Olivo noted Macy's will continue celebrating "the rich history and holiday traditions" at the company's State Street location, in addition to giving back to nonprofit organizations such as the Joffrey Ballet, Goodman Theatre, Chicago Commons, Chicago Memorial Police Foundation and local food banks.
