The race will shut down major roadways in the Loop, but all businesses and residences will remain accessible throughout the weekend. Priority streets, such as DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Michigan Avenue, and Columbus Drive, are set to reopen following the event, with all closures predicted to conclude by Saturday, July 15.

The event has partnered with sports tech startup FanSaves to deliver guests an online resource guide, including information about Chicago’s restaurants, hotels, and tourist attractions.

“We’re excited that our technology is powering the resource guide to help drive economic impact to businesses in Chicago leading up to and during the Chicago Street Race,” said Shannon Ferguson, FanSaves Co-Founder and CEO, in a statement. (FanSaves)

NASCAR has projected the race to generate around $113 million for the city, strengthening our local economy and bringing exposure to small businesses.
