National Night Out, a campaign that promotes police-community partnerships, will take place Wednesday, August 4, at Navy Pier (Polk Bros. Park) from 5-9:30 pm. This event will provide a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Millions will take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide. Neighborhoods will host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events that will include safety demos, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and so much more. In 2019, an estimated 38.9 million people participated.
National Night Out was created to help enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while also bringing back a true sense of community. (For more info, visit https://natw.org/)
