Six Flags' Holiday in the Park returns with in-person and drive-thru options

The thrill capital of the Midwest announces the return of Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Great America. This year's festivities offers both a drive-thru experience and in-park visits. Guests will enjoy a dazzling display of over 3 million twinkling lights, sights, and sounds for this 2nd annual holiday extravaganza.

Visitors will also enjoy thrilling rides, shows, and attractions like Santa's workshop with a story time for the kiddies, marshmallow and s'mores roasting beside fire pits, a Kalightoscope Light Show, cookie decorating, holiday characters, festive photo ops, sing-a-longs and so much.  

Holiday in the Park Lights, opening November 26 and operating weekends and select weeknights through December 30, will feature:

• Over three million dazzling holiday lights for guests to enjoy while strolling the midways;
• Heartwarming performances featuring holiday classics by the park’s world-class entertainers;
• Select family rides, like the beautiful Columbia Carousel, while the more thrilling attractions hibernate until springtime;
• Photo opportunities with costumed characters, including Santa Claus before he leaves for the North Pole on December 23; and
• Special seasonal treats and activities, like cookie decorating, s’mores pits, and the chance to craft a letter to Santa.

As one of the largest holiday drive-thru events in the Midwest and the only inside a theme park, the Holiday in the Park Lights Drive-Thru Experience will open December 3 and run select nights through January 9, 2022. Reservations are required for the drive-thru experience. Guests taking in the spectacular views from the comfort of their vehicles will be treated to:

• Twelve immersive themed areas embellished with over three million dazzling holiday lights;
• A festive seasonal soundtrack of all the holiday favorites;
• Special holiday characters and live entertainment throughout the route; and
• Select seasonal treats and holiday bundles full of fun surprises.

Guests may make Holiday in the Park Lights Drive-Thru Experience reservations beginning today, Tuesday, November 9, online at www.sixflags.com/greatamerica/events/holiday-in-the-park-drive-thru. Single-day tickets for both Holiday in the Park Lights and the Holiday in the Park Lights Drive-Thru Experience also go on sale today.

Holiday in the Park will premiere Saturday, November 23 and run weekends through Sunday, December 23 and daily December 26 – December 31.

(Some of the park's more thrilling rides, including coasters, will hibernate until next Spring.)
