A Sleepy Hallow-inspired Halloween happening is coming to Chicago September 16.

"Sleepy Hollow: An Immersive Cocktail Experience" is a new Halloween pop-up coming to Chicago (170 W. Washington St.) Thursday, Sept. 16. This seasonal event combines the comedy/horror of the spectral universe with gothic decor and scintillating, custom drinks. Consider this, it's 'opening night' at a tavern in the woods in 1799 and spirits will be raised on this cozy fall eve! Walk deep into the Western Wood and enter the classic legend of Sleepy Hallow. A faithful staff of characters will add to the theme. They will each be packing a surprise too (hint--you might want to bring a raincoat).

This is how the event organizers describe the experience:

"Gather round. The time for frivolity has finally arrived... our Sleepy Hollow experience welcomes you! Your presence is requested in the Western Woods, where they say no sane person should go. You will find a clearing under the moonlit sky: a spot hidden in the woods overflowing with cocktails, dark music, merriment, and life! As our opening-night guest, we welcome you to enter our tavern and enjoy three gothic drinks. We fine folk may have a gift for you here, as well as Godforsaken games of yore to enjoy at your leisure... perhaps you may even experience the rare touch of the undead. You may have heard the Hollow is a place where blood runs cold, haunted by a warrior without a head and bathed in red. But please, worry for naught! What awaits you is a drunken eve of fantastical joy, in woodlands that are yours to explore!"

Tickets, beginning at $62, will take you on a 90-minute journey where you’ll be served a series of 3 unique, supernatural cocktails, also available in non-alcoholic versions. Guests must be at least 21 years old, and are invited to dress up! Tickets, and more details, here: https://feverup.com/m/99363.
