Residents of ZIP codes 60608, 60619, 60620, 60624, 60644, 60649, 60651 60652 and 60653 can make COVID-19 vaccine appointments at the mass vaccination site outside the United Center.

Chicago has expanded eligibility for COVID-19 vaccination appointments at the mass vaccination site at the United Center, with residents of four new ZIP codes on the city's South and West Sides now able to receive the vaccine.

Last week, the city announced residents of five communities with a high COVID-19 burden and low vaccination rates, would receive priority for appointments. Appointment blocks have been set aside for Chicagoans living in those five ZIP codes -- 60608, 60619, 60620, 60649 and 60652 -- as well as the four new ZIP codes of 60624, 60644, 60651 and 60653.

Residents of the above ZIP codes are encouraged to register for an appointment by calling (312) 746-4835.

"Equity drives all vaccine distribution in Chicago, and we want to ensure that residents from the communities that have been most disproportionately impacted by the pandemic have access to this lifesaving vaccine,” Chicago Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot said in a news release.

Community partners are working in conjunction with the city to help Chicagoans from predominantly Black and Latinx areas of the city make appointments to get the vaccine and to schedule appointments directly for individuals with disabilities and from high-risk groups, according to the news release.
