WINGS' 18th annual "Sweet Home Chicago" fundraiser will take place Sunday, December 12 at the Four Seasons Chicago. The event will be hybrid this year but the important things will stay the same – sharing holiday cheer and supporting families impacted by domestic violence, who need help now more than ever.
For the in-person event on Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm, the traditional activities will include gingerbread house decorating, balloon artist, visiting with Santa and K-9 Comfort Dogs, plus a special music performance by Ralph’s World. One of the highlights of this nonprofit fundraiser has always been the creation of your own gingerbread house and now you can start this holiday tradition with your children from anywhere in the country! For the last 17 years at Sweet Home Chicago (except 2020 when everyone partied at home), children and their families made gingerbread houses together and then they were boxed to take home.
Make a donation of $100 or more and, as a thank you, WINGS will send you a deluxe BBC Hollydays Sweet Home Chicago gingerbread house decorating kit with everything you need to create a one-of-a-kind gingerbread house for your own family or for a meaningful and fun gift.
Place your order no later than Wednesday, December 1, 2021, and BBC Hollydays will deliver or ship via UPS (anywhere within the United States) one or more gingerbread house kits to you or those on your gift list. Every $100 qualifies you to receive 1 gingerbread house. Cost of shipping is included in your donation.
Suggested Donations:
$100 – A night of shelter and food
$200 – Eight boxes of diapers
$300 – 10 children’s therapy work books
$400 – Seven hours of parenting classes at Safe Houses
$500 – Cost of a new shelter bed
$1,000 – 16 hours of career training
