It is getting near time for our beloved Chicagoans to break out their T-shirts from the old dresser drawer where they have been hiding for the past five months.
Warm weather is coming, and the short-sleeve T-shirt does become a fashion statement this time of year.
It is a Chicago Star tradition, and we continue it here, to feature some of the funny and sometimes poignant sayings that we see people wearing on their T-shirts while walking the streets or just “out and about.”
We call it the good, the bad, and the ugly: Chicagoans proudly wearing their summer T-shirts.
Note: Sometimes it gets a bit delicate reading these T-shirt sayings. It often requires staring maybe a little too long at someone’s mid-section or upper body to make sure you fully read all the wording, causing the concern that you are some kind of pervert. But… such is the price you must pay for journalistic curiosity.
