Chicago Star readers, with your permission, here is a little bit of friendly advice from your highly unofficial food critic.
We all know there are a lot of special weight loss diets out there.
They run the gamut from no carbs, to carbs only, to special pills, to powered supplements, to eating one meal a day, to proteins only, to fasting for 24 hours and a hundred and one other things in between.
Forget all the fancy pills and supplements. Just go with these three easy-to-follow recommendations.
Some of them may have some temporary value, but for the most part? Forget about it.
The best and healthiest weight loss program has and always will be:
1) Eat a little bit less
2) Eat a little bit smarter or healthier
3) Exercise a little more
That’s it. Everything beyond those three are just extraneous exercises in futility.
And often expensive ones at that.
Just a little bit of exercise can help in weight loss and staying healthy.
