There may be competition for what is Chicago's favorite sports team—BUT there can be no doubt,  no competition at all, for the best Chicago sports store, which is signed, sealed, and delivered right to our city's favorite hockey team.

Conveniently located at one of the busiest intersections in the entire city, Wacker and Michigan Avenue, and sitting atop the iconic Fanny May candy store no less, lies the beloved Chicago Blackhawks retail mecca.

Anything and everything Blackhawks-related is in this store. And, we might add, displayed in the coolest and most colorful way possible.

This place has it all, from logoed pucks to socks, caps, t-shirts, sweaters, jerseys, bobblehead dolls, fanny packs, posters, and even onesies for the newest and future Blackhawk fans. It's all right there for you and about anything else you can imagine.

There are racks upon racks of this stuff for the happy hockey shopper.

The aesthetics here are definitely part of the draw. Bright, fresh, and bursting with Blackhawk flavor. Almost everything is in the team colors of red, black, and white.

All the jerseys of the current players are available, which, of course, includes the off-the-charts hot-selling jersey of 18-year-old hockey sensation and the newest Blackhawk, Connor Bedard. Bedard's number 98 flows prominently throughout the store and is displayed even more prominently right in the window facing passersby on both Michigan Avenue and Wacker Drive.

Not to worry though. Some of your favorites from days gone by are available, including the always-popular Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane jerseys. Their numbers 19 and 88 (respectively) still hold prominent spacing in the large store.

We should mention, and the store advertises this on their front window facing Michigan Avenue, that The Blackhawks Indian head logo has been voted many times as the #1 logo in all sports!

Repeat: The  #1 most popular logo in all of sports. Not too bad.

What would help sales at the store? Well,…a winning team for one. The Blackhawks, so far this season, are off to a somewhat schizophrenic 3-6 start overall record. Some nice wins where they have looked really good and some big duds where you wonder what happened.

A long season is ahead, though, so we shall see if they can turn things around.

One thing is not in doubt. What is the best sports store in Chicago?

The results are in (a tabulation including just one). Hands down, it is your Chicago Blackhawks store on Michigan Avenue.

As a recently retired longtime Hawks broadcaster would say,…"he shoots, he scores !!"
