658 Hotblock Jmoe Official Trailer

(Chicago, IL) - December 16, 2022

Updated December 21, 2022

Up and coming hip-hop artist Hotblock Jmoe returns to his hometown of Chicago for the holidays with a mission to give away $25,000 in toys to the southside community who helped shape him into the person he is today. Through his music label Velcro Records, the Christmas Toy Drive will be hosted on Dec. 16th at the Vernard L. Alsberry Jr. Municipal Center in Hazel Crest, IL. with the Apostle Dr. Lisa Benjamin and is open to the public.

“I wanted to reach as many people as possible. I know how it feels to not have it for Christmas and you know I just wanted to give back.”

“Christmas for me and my family was a big thing because I'm real family oriented so we used to get into the whole spirit, the pajamas, the cookies, the music, the everything you know we used to just decorate gingerbread houses, stuff like that, but we didn't always have it to get what we wanted you know. My mom did what she could but it was still stuff that we couldn't get so I was just always appreciative of, you know, the small things and stuff like that.”

23-year-old Hotblock Jmoe, also known as Jeremy Bella, hails from the streets of Sibley Blvd, a notorious block in Dolton, Illinois near the Southside of Chicago. To commemorate his roots, this December, Hotblok Jmoe released a new single “658”,  a freestyle dedicated to his Chicago-based friends and family. In collaboration with Grammy nominated producer Supah Mario, Hotblock recorded the video at his residence in Chicago’s South Side. “658” has already garnered 180K views on YouTube and comes after the success of his last single “9X Outta 10”, featuring Tory Lanez which amassed 2 million views on YouTube and 500K streams on Spotify.

Hotblock said that the inspiration for his new single “685” came after a long twelve-hour session.

Before I leave the studio, we had just got the Mario pack sent over and it was crazy. It was the first beat that got pulled up, it was that one, and I already knew instantly that it was already going to be a hit, so I had already started working on it. I finished it and it was time to name it and I was like, “man what time is it, bro? I just finished” And it was 6:58 on the dot literally so we just kept that and ran with it.

Hip-hop fans are taking notice of Hotblock's smooth melodies, and true-to-the-street lyrics. His music offers insight to the uncensored emotions of a boy who was raised in the streets of Chicago and his journey to hip-hop stardom. On the important values and lessons that he wants to share with his fans, Hotblock says that he wants people to know that they should never give up.

“No matter what it is, whatever your goal is, whatever your dream is, do it 1000%, not 100%, 1000%. You're gonna get it done for sure.
