Chicago Bulls guard Josh Giddey snapped up a $4.45 million townhome in River North. According to Crain’s Chicago Business, the deal closed Sept. 30 and came weeks after he signed a four-year, $100 million contract with the team.

The 7,800-square-foot, five-bedroom home sits at 429 West Superior Street, The Real Deal reports. Public records list a land trust as the buyer, though Crain’s noted that the Chicago Tribune reported Giddey as the beneficiary.

Giddey, 23, joined the Bulls via trade from Oklahoma City in June 2024, says Crain’s. The Australian native turned pro with the Adelaide 36ers in 2020-2021. He has notched 25 career triple-doubles.

Lavish features in Kingsbury Estates

According to Crain’s, the four-story home, built in 2007, boasts heated floors throughout. It also includes an elevator and a two-car garage with a Tesla charger. A ground-floor family room serves as a home theater.

Highlights feature a double-island white kitchen with gold accents, The Real Deal adds. Accordion doors also open from the breakfast area to a pergola-covered terrace, and glass-front wine storage sits under the staircase.

The primary suite reportedly has Koroseal wallpaper and Ann Sacks tile. A top-floor lounge leads to another terrace. The 2024 tax bill hit $43,597, according to The Real Deal.

Sellers, a plastic surgeon and his wife, bought it for $2.15 million in 2020. The Real Deal reported that the couple moved nearby to a $7.2 million house in June.

The spot in Kingsbury Estates draws pro athletes. According to The Real Deal, Ex-Bulls DeMar DeRozan and Jimmy Butler lived close by. So did former Bears back Matt Forte. Giddey's buy marks his big step into Chicago real estate.
