Chicago's Midway International Airport will open its first-ever passenger lounge, The Club MDW, in 2024, according to an announcement made by Mayor Brandon Johnson and the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA). Construction has already begun, with an official opening planned for the fall of 2024.
Located in Midway's Central Market between Concourses A and B, The Club MDW will be accessible to all passengers, regardless of their airline and class of service. The lounge will provide complimentary food and beverage services in a comfortable, inviting environment.
The Club MDW will be accessible through Priority Pass, the world's largest airport lounge membership program. Additionally, any Midway passenger with a boarding pass can purchase a day pass for $50.

Developed in collaboration with Midway Partnership, the 3,300-square-foot club will draw inspiration from Chicago's architectural heritage. The design will feature high-contrast, monochromatic tones, complemented by metallic accents and plush upholstery to ensure a warm and comfortable guest experience.
Club MDW is part of the ongoing Midway Modernization Program, a city initiative to transform the passenger experience at the South Side airport. With enhanced parking systems, a new security checkpoint pavilion, and diverse local concessions offerings, the addition of The Club MDW is the next step in elevating the passenger accommodations.
The construction of Club MDW comes at a time when travel figures at Midway are already exceeding pre-pandemic levels. Through July, passenger numbers for the airport are at 106% of 2019 levels, according to the city’s statement.
