Struggling coworking company WeWork is reducing its Chicago footprint by closing its Fulton Market outpost, as first reported by Crain’s.

According to Crain’s, WeWork will maintain its other coworking spaces in Chicago, including its locations in the Loop and River North. The downsizing comes as the company attempts to bounce back after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November of 2023, according to NBC.

"Chicago continues to be an important market for WeWork, and we look forward to continuing to provide our members with flexible workplace solutions at our other locations throughout the city," said a WeWork representative in a statement obtained by Crain’s.
