A Malibu Barbie themed pop up cafe will make its Chicago debut this June, just before the release of Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated Barbie movie. The return of pop up events, with Barbie at the forefront, marks an important development in Chicago’s ongoing pandemic rebound.

The cafe will center on the iconic image of ’70s Malibu Barbie, featuring a groovy beachside theme. Guests will have the pleasure of immersing themselves in all things Barbie in preparation for the July 21st film release.

The cafe will offer all-day brunch, fruity mocktails, and a variety of creative sweets. Exclusive merchandise and photo opportunities will also be available to guests.

The brainchild of digital media group Bucket listers, the Malibu Barbie Cafe is a family-friendly experience, bringing the Barbie universe to life “like never before”, according to organizers. “Bucket Listers is honored to bring The Malibu Barbie Café to life,” said Bucket Listers founder Andy Lederman in a statement.

Tickets are available through the Bucket Listers site and include a range of pricing and seating options.
