On Monday, March 20 from 6-8 p.m., the Chicago Chefs Cook will raise money for those in need. For their fourth fundraising event, the organization will help those devastated by the recent earthquakes in Turkey. Last year, Chicago Chefs Cook raised more than $850,000 for Ukraine, Tigray and Puerto Rico.

The upcoming fundraiser will be held at Avli on the Park. Executive Chef Nikolaos Kapernaros said, "When seeing the latest global devastation on the news, I knew I wanted to step up to rally together the Chicagoland chef community for a way to give back.” The earthquake relief funds will be sent to the World Central Kitchen, an organization that provides frontline communities with fresh meals in response to humanitarian, climate and community crises.

The culinary event will feature tasting stations from participating chefs including Nikolas Kapernaros and Panos Chalikiopoulos (Avli), Joe Rizza (LYRA), Soo Ahn (Adalina), Joe Flamm (Rose Mary), Art Smith (Reunion), Sarah Stegner (Prairie Grass Cafe), Tony Priolo (Piccolo Sogno), Devon Quinn (Eden) and more.

"This tragedy is a call to action for the Chicagoland chef community, and we are standing together in support of the countless people affected by the devastating earthquakes," said Sarah Stegner, co-owner/chef of Prairie Grass Cafe. This event is made possible by the Chicago Chefs Cook leadership team including Chef Stegner and Chef Tony Priolo of Piccolo Sogno, Darren Gest of Deloitte Consulting, Eda Davidman of Chicago Chefs Cook and Jodi Fyfe of the Paramount Group.

In addition to the chef-curated tasting event, the evening will feature a VIP meet and greet chef experience, from 5-6 p.m. Purchase tickets and donate here.
