The Bank of America Chicago Marathon takes place on Sunday, October 13, and will feature approximately 47,000 runners. While running twenty-six miles is quite an impressive feat, the restaurant deals being offered for runners throughout the city are even more impressive. Here are nine marathon specials that runners can take advantage of this weekend. 

Hard Rock Cafe Chicago

Carb up with a pre-race pasta dinner or lunch on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12 at the Hard Rock Cafe Chicago. Two featured dishes include the Shrimp Alfredo Pasta or Red Pasta with Shrimp for only $19.99. Both dishes come with garlic toast, and either pasta has the option to sub chicken or make vegetarian.

Runners and their supporters can also join the Hard Rock’s Chicago Marathon After Party on Sunday from 11 a.m. to closing time. Guests will be able to enter a raffle to win prizes, and the first 312 runners will receive a complimentary Goose Island 312 beer. Marathon participants can show their bibs to receive 20% off at the restaurant’s gift shop.

Before the marathon, racers will receive double pasta portions at Pizzeria Portofino. After the marathon on Sunday only, present a medal or bib to receive a complimentary Giuliana Prosecco toast. Book a reservation before dining.

From Friday, October 11 through Sunday, October 13, all runners with proof of registration or a medal will receive 50% off featured pasta dishes at The Oakville Grill & Cellar. Try popular specialties like the Mushroom & Eggplant Ragù, Vodka Rigatoni, Mafaldine & Arugula Pesto, and the Angry Crab Bucatini. Runners will also receive a complimentary order of Spinach & Artichoke Dip or Crispy Parmesan Fries. Book a reservation online. 

I|O Godfrey

After the marathon, runners can kick their feet up with a Recovery Brunch Buffet at I|O Godfrey in The Godfrey Hotel on Sunday only.  From 2-7 p.m., runners will receive beer, a personal medal engraving, and participate in marathon photo opportunities. The fastest male and female finishers will receive a complimentary stay at the hotel. Complimentary massages will be provided as well. Book a reservation for up to six people. Tickets are $49 each.

RPM Italian, RPM Seafood, and RPM Steak

On Sunday after the race, participants with a medal or bib will receive a complimentary Giuliana Prosecco toast at either RPM Italian, RPM Seafood, or RPM Steak.  

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila

Head to the West Loop or River North location to grab a complimentary draft margarita at Bodega Taqueria y Tequila. Runners are required to show their medal or bib. Margaritas will be served in a Bodega sports water bottle.
