No Grinch allowed: Martha May’s Merry Tipsy Tea Party takes over The Gwen Hotel

Throughout the month of December, The Gwen Hotel is hosting a boozy, Grinch-themed afternoon tea service called Martha May’s Merry Tipsy Tea Party. The event comes as part of the hotel’s Tipsy Tea Party campaign, which features various themes. November’s theme showcased Friendsgiving Tipsy Tea, while January through March 2025 will feature Dripping in Pink Tipsy Tea.

During this boozy experience, guests will get to experience anything but a traditional tea service; a live DJ will provide entertainment while teagoers sip on a selection of festive bottomless-boozy or spirit-free, tea-infused cocktails.

The Martha May-themed tea party will include a seasonal tea tower that celebrates the wonderful world of Whoville. Guests will be able to try an assortment of bites, including the  Who-Spanakopita, Mount Crumpit Pfeffernüsse, and Sweet Cindy Lou’s Panna Cotta. 

Reservations can be made on Saturdays at either 12 p.m. or 2:30 p.m., or Sundays at 1 p.m. for two-hour time slots. Tickets are $70 per person, which includes the traditional tea package. Add-on packages include the Spill the Tea package for $25, the Bit of Bubbly & A Spot of Tea package for $25, or the Sassy and Spirit-Free package for $5.
