The Windy City Smokeout festival is set to kick off with a special event bringing a slice of New York City to Chicago. On Wednesday, July 9, Bub City in River North will host a pop-up event featuring the iconic Katz’s Delicatessen, renowned for its half-pound pastrami sandwiches. According to the press release, this exclusive culinary experience comes with live country music as a backdrop, offering a unique blend of flavors and sound.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., attendees at Bub City can indulge in Katz's famous pastrami sandwich, complemented by pickles, steak frites, and Dr. Brown’s Soda. The event also provides a chance to win passes to the main Windy City Smokeout festival.
