Sushi By Bou West Loop has recently launched lunch services on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
This timed omakase lunch experience is inside The Emily Hotel with a unique hidden entrance, perfect for those who love a speakeasy feel (but sushi edition). The restaurant has a 10-seat counter and 10-seat lounge inspired by the 90s Hip Hop Era. Graffiti decorates the walls alongside murals of Chicago Hip Hop legends.
Lunch reservations are $60 per person for a 12-course, 60-minute interactive omakase experience. Counter seating overlooks the chef, allowing a front-row seat to how each sushi creation comes to life and the opportunity to know who’s preparing the meal. Each course is eaten without chopsticks and soy sauce to appreciate and savor the flavor of each piece.

The 12-course menu consists of:
- Hamachi: yellowtail
- Akami: lean tuna
- Botan Ebi: spotted prawn
- Ikura: salmon roe
- Bincho: albacore
- Maguro: chopped tuna
- Hotate: scallop
- Gindara: miso cod
- Toro: fatty tuna
- Sake: salmon
- Wagyuni: surf & turf
- Unagi: bbq eel
Once the course experience is complete, customers can order more of their favorites from the selection at an additional charge and pair them with some of the specialty cocktails Sushi By Bou offers. Alongside their new lunch special, they’re open every day from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
