Upscale grocery chain The Fresh Market is planning to open its first Chicago location at the former Dom’s Kitchen and Market storefront in Lincoln Park.

According to a report by Crain’s, The Fresh Market revealed the expansion by listing 9 job openings for the new location on its company site. Details pertaining to when exactly the new location will open were not immediately available.

Dom’s vacated the property at 2730 N. Halsted St. at the end of April, after announcing its immediate dissolution alongside its sister-brand Foxtrot. Both companies abruptly closed all frachises after parent company Outfox Hospitality filed for bankruptcy. Foxtrot has since announced it will reopen several stores in Chicago.

The Fresh Market reportedly operates 22 locations nationwide, and is known for its organic and specialty grocery items. The retailer operates four other regional locations in Lake Forest, Geneva, Wilmette, and Crystal Lake.

The Fresh Market will fill a hole left by Dom’s departure, bringing back a curated, whole-foods approach to grocery shopping in Lincoln Park.
