Thank you for being a friend! The Golden Girls interactive pop-up restaurant, inspired by the popular tv show, opens in Chicago on May 10th. Fans of the show will be jetted off to 1980s Miami while immersing themselves in the world of their favorite golden gals.
The concept is the brainchild of Bucket Listers and is spearheaded by their VP of Experiences, Derek Berry. He is the mastermind behind the pop-ups Saved by the Max, Good Burger, and The Peach Pit. "Bucket Listers is honored to bring The Golden Girls Kitchen to the Windy City after our sold-out runs in LA and New York," says VP of Experiences Derek Berry. "It's also a homecoming to where my journey into the experiential industry first began. Since the debut of Chicago's Saved By The Max in 2016, I've always dreamt of bringing another beloved pop-up concept home. I cannot wait for the city to see what we have in store."
The Golden Girls Kitchen will be a fast-casual restaurant. Every ticket includes a guaranteed reserved seat, an entree, and a variety of cheesecakes. Some notable dishes include Sophia's Lasagna Al Forno, The Lanai: A "Miami style" Cuban Sandwich, and Blanche's Georgia Style Cookie. The best part is that the Shady Pines waitstaff will serve every dish.
No pop-up is complete without some iconic photo opportunities. Fans of the show will be able to be a part of Dorothy, Rose, Blanche, and Sofia's world. Gather around their kitchen table for a chat or soak up the Miami sun on the lanai. Just remember you're a pal and a confident.
