A new Latin-inspired steakhouse named Trino is set to open in Chicago's West Loop this summer. The brainchild of Chef Stephen Sandoval and Partner Oscar Sotelo, Trino offers a creative spin on the classic Chicago steakhouse. Drawing inspiration from Chef Sandoval's heritage, the restaurant promises a fusion of bold, soulful flavors from northern Mexico and Galicia, along with influences from Argentina, the press release details.

Menu preview events

Eager diners won't have to wait until summer to get a taste. Trino will host a series of pop-up menu previews at Soho House Chicago. The events are scheduled for Friday, June 20, through Sunday, June 22, as well as Thursday, June 26, through Saturday, June 28. At these ticketed gatherings, guests can experience Trino's unique culinary approach firsthand and see how it pays homage to traditional Chicago steakhouses while weaving in a global narrative. Those interested in attending the Trino pop-up events can purchase tickets for $150 each through Tock.

Opening later in the summer, Trino represents a harmonious blend of culinary traditions from various regions, boasting high-quality cuts. The press release states that the highly anticipated concept is a continuation of the creativity seen in Sandoval and Sotelo's previous ventures, Diego and the Entre Sueños Dinner Series, both known for their commitment to excellence and authenticity. The team hopes Trino will serve as a testament to their passion for honoring tradition through innovation and precision.
