Get ready to break out the winter jackets this Halloween! Chicago is expected to see its first snow of the season on Tuesday, beginning in the afternoon.

Light snow is predicted for Cook County and parts of northwest Indiana. Chicago will likely see under an inch of snow, according to WGN. Due to the lake effect, parts of Indiana could see up to an inch.

Chicago has experienced its first snow on or around Halloween in years past, so Tuesday’s flurries will follow a similar historical pattern.

Chicagoans woke up to unseasonably cold temperatures Monday morning, with the temperature dropping into the thirties making it the coldest morning in 6 months. Temperatures reached as low as 33 degrees at O’Hare International Airport, with even lower temps recorded in the suburbs.
