MADISON COUNTY, Mont. – The search for a missing 14-year-old boy at Harrison Lake wrapped up on Monday, June 23, 2025, when he was found. The boy, from Gallatin County, had been reported missing on June 18, 2025.

Madison and Gallatin Counties teamed up, with help from several agencies across western Montana. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Madison County Coroner are looking into what happened.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office shared their condolences with the boy's family and friends, saying, "We share in your grief and offer our support during this difficult time."

Harrison Lake will stay closed until Wednesday, June 25, 2025, to honor the family. Everyone is asked to respect their privacy during this time.

The sheriff's office thanked those who helped in the search and appreciated the community's support.
