KEITHVILLE, La. -- Four people are dead in a murder-suicide in Keithville Monday morning.
No names have been released.
Caddo Parish sheriff's deputies responded to the 10000 block of Mustang Circle around 7 a.m. for a welfare concern. A person in the house refused to talk to deputies.
A few minutes later, deputies heard a gunshot coming from inside.
Deputies used a drone to search the interior, where they saw four people dead, including the suspect.
Neighbors told deputies the man who lived in the house was possibly a doomsday prepper. So investigators summoned the Shreveport Fire Department Bomb Unit to ensure the safety of the area. The house and property were searched for any possible boobytraps. None were found.
Details are still limited.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the incident.
