MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Four people were detained after a shooting in South Memphis early Friday morning killed a woman, police said.
Memphis Police (MPD) said officers were called just after 6 a.m. to Cannon Street off East McLemore Avenue for a shooting. There, they found a woman had been injured by gunfire, police said.
MPD said the woman was in critical condition when she was rushed to Regional One Health, where she later died. Four people were detained in connection to the shooting but police did not further elaborate.
No other details were released.
