New Family-Owned Cabernet House Invites Guests to Manhattan Residence for Multi-Course Wine Experience
RUTHERFORD, Calif., April 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Annulus, one of Napa Valley's most exciting new wine brands, is bringing Wine Country hospitality into the Big Apple. Proprietors Luke Evnin and Deann Wright have opened their stunning Manhattan home to oenophiles for private, multi-course meals at their dinner table.
While it's a long-held tradition for wineries to partner with the city's great restaurants, Annulus' one-of-a-kind "Napa to New York" wine dinners offer a much more intimate and personalized experience and a creative new way to engage wine consumers.
Annulus debuted its first wines last fall from the acclaimed 2021 vintage, crafted by renowned winemaker Nigel Kinsman and famed oenologist Michel Rolland from some of Napa Valley's most prized vineyards. Alongside their winemaking team, the Evnin and Wright family has cultivated a vision of establishing a classic, multigenerational wine brand that has already received high acclaim. The inaugural 2021 Vine Hill Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon was included in the Wine Spectator's Top 100 list.
For decades, the family has cherished a time-honored Wine Country way of living in Rutherford, located at the heart of Napa Valley, in which good friends gather spontaneously to share heartfelt conversation, fresh local ingredients, and world-class, handcrafted wine. Evnin and Wright hope to share their Napa Valley lifestyle in an urban setting through their "Napa to New York" dinners.
"Napa to New York" dinners will be hosted by the proprietors or Annulus' Director of Hospitality, Caitlin O'Connell, and a private chef will craft a multi-course meal inspired by some of Napa Valley's most famous dishes, which could include Braised Lamb Shanks from Farmstead or Mustard's famous Mongolian Pork Chop. Each course is expertly paired with Annulus wines and will feature Annulus Sauvignon Blanc, the two single-vineyard-designate Cabernets—Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard and Vine Hill Ranch Vineyard, as well as a Napa Valley Cabernet cuvée sourced from Stags Leap, Diamond Mountain, and other heritage sites.
