GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Benefis Health System has once again earned national recognition as one of the best places to work in healthcare. Benefis is the only hospital in Montana to make Becker’s Top 150 Places to Work in Healthcare list.
Benefis has been recognized for its commitment to supporting staff both professionally and personally.
Casey Buckingham, System Senior Vice President and Chief HR Officer at Benefis, emphasized the importance of the people working there. She stated, "It's about the people who work in the organization. Benefis is really a community within the community. And I think our work culture is what supports applications to win awards like this. So it's the individuals that work here. That's why we won the award and why it's so important to take care of the people that work here and be the best employer that we can be."
This marks the second consecutive year Benefis has received the recognition, having previously earned the award six years in a row before the pandemic.
Buckingham highlighted the significance of being the only facility in Montana to receive this designation, calling it an "incredible honor."
With more than 3,600 employees across Montana, Benefis offers a range of opportunities in nursing, business, finance, housekeeping, and even provides scholarships and tuition assistance for future healthcare workers.
Buckingham explained, "Whether you're interested in doing clinical activities or non-clinical activities, we have a variety of positions here."
The strong employee support system at Benefis is said to make a real difference in patient care.
"If you take care of the people who take care of people, I think that that is what gives peace of mind to the employees here so they can do their very best work every day when they show up. And that translates to great care and great community," Buckingham added.
