A $25,000 bond was set Wednesday for a woman accused of residential burglary and theft.
Mariah Akers, 32, of Paragould, was arrested May 19 on suspicion of residential burglary and misdemeanor theft of property after an investigation by Paragould police.
According to a probable cause affidavit, officers went to the Pecan Grove area May 19 due to a residential burglary. When police arrived, they went to speak with the victim.
The victim told police Akers and another suspect had gone inside her apartment while she was not home, stealing several items, according to the affidavit.
Also, multiple witnesses told police that they saw Akers and the other suspect going into the apartment and leaving with multiple bags of items.
