This Friday, the Carthage Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire.
The Carthage FD was notified by Beckville Fire Department of a car fire on Highway 149, just before County Road 959 near Riderville. They arrived on scene to a passenger vehicle fully engulfed in flames, but quickly extinguished the fire and returned to the station.
No injuries were reported.
