JM Barrie’s classic “Peter Pan” will open the Cutler Bros.’ 2025 summer theatre season in Deer Lodge this May.

“Peter Pan” follows a free-spirited and mischievous young boy who can fly and never grows old.

Shows run May 2-18 with showings on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. The Cutler Bros. Theatre is at 301 Main St. in Deer Lodge.

Izzi Berhardt, a student at E.F. Duvall Junior High, will take the reins on the Peter Pan role. Berhardt has been auditioning for productions with Cutler Bros. Theatre since 2021 when she first landed the role of Fuller in the Christmas’ production of “Home Alone.” Since that time Berhardt has played countless roles on the Deer Lodge stage under Cutler Bros.’ supervision as well as Missoula Children’s Theater.

Other cast members include Dan Mitchem (Captain Hook) and Josh Pentland (Smee). This dynamic duo was also in “Home Alone” and they played the wildly funny wet bandits (Harry and Marv). Mitchem has returned to Montana after previously working at Universal Studios in California and landing several gigs as a Beetlejuice impersonator. The cast is 25 strong with several newbies to the stage and the show is directed by veteran to Cutler Bros., Erin Jewell.

“I’ve always loved Peter Pan, and I’m excited to have the chance to direct it,” said Jewell.

She added, “We have a lot of newbies in this show, but they’re all doing a wonderful job.” Jewell has been a part of Cutler Bros. Productions since 2013 and has directed other shows in her tenure including “Barefoot in the Park,” “Sweeney Todd,” and last season’s “Moon Over Buffalo.”

Tickets for “Peter Pan” are $20 and reservations are highly recommended at 406-846-4096. Tickets may also be purchased online at cutlerbros.com
