July 24 Event Will Bring Together Women Veterans and Supporters Across the DMV

ROCKVILLE, Md., June 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- EveryMind is proud to announce the launch of the ServingTogether Women's Community Veterans Engagement Board (CVEB) — the first women-focused CVEB in the nation — created to amplify the voices, needs, and strengths of women veterans and military-connected women across the greater Washington, D.C. region and beyond.

The inaugural meeting will take place on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at EveryMind's headquarters (1000 Twinbrook Parkway, Rockville, MD), with a virtual option to ensure participation from across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) region.

The Rockville location was selected for its central accessibility between Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia, reflecting the board's inclusive regional scope. Monthly meetings will be open to veterans, transitioning service members, Veteran Serving Organizations (VSOs), caregivers, spouses, children of military-connected individuals, and supporters. Whether newly transitioning or long separated, this is a welcoming space for women who have served to connect and thrive.

Aimee Stoddard, ServingTogether's Regional Manager for Northern Virginia and a veteran spouse, serves as the board's primary point of contact. "We're creating a space where women veterans and supporters can come together, find community, and work toward meaningful change," said Stoddard. "Whether you're looking for resources, a sense of belonging, or a way to get involved, this is the place for you."

Jennifer Watson, a U.S. Air Force veteran and Manager of EveryMind's ServingTogether Coordination Center, serves as Secretary. "This CVEB will be a space to address the barriers women veterans face and to celebrate their resilience, contributions, and leadership," said Watson. "I'm proud to help steward this space alongside so many dedicated women and allies."

EveryMind CEO Ann Mazur added, "Women veterans have long needed a place to gather, share their experiences, and advocate for their needs. We're honored that ServingTogether is leading the way in building the nation's first Women's CVEB, reflecting EveryMind's commitment to community-driven solutions that uplift all veterans and their families."

EveryMind's ServingTogether program is funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs SSG Fox SPGP, D'Aniello Institute for Veteran and Military Families, Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, Virginia Department of Veterans Services, Kahlert Foundation, TowerCares Foundation, and Wawa Foundation.
