Over 200 Virginia Drivers Demand Fair First Contract
STAFFORD, Va., July 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 200 drivers at Genesis Logistics, a DHL Supply Chain subsidiary, will hold a practice picket on Wednesday, July 16, at 1 p.m., to demand a fair and timely first Teamsters contract. The workers, represented by Teamsters Local 322, deliver to 7-Eleven stores across the Mid-Atlantic region.
Earlier this year, the group voted by an over 90 percent margin to join the Teamsters. Since then, the company has stalled negotiations and refused to engage seriously. Last week, the drivers voted to authorize a strike in response to management's delays and illegal anti-union behavior.
Teamsters demand a contract that guarantees fair wages, affordable health care, safer working conditions, and respect on the job. If Genesis fails to deliver, workers are prepared to strike.
