GRANDVILLE, Mich., March 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Saturday, March 15 will be a big day at the Grandville Robotics Competition Center. VEX Robotics event partners from Grandville, Hudsonville, and Jenison will come together to host the 2025 Michigan VEX IQ Tournament of Champions.  This event will bring 40 of the top elementary robotics teams in Michigan together for a day of competition.  Every team attending has posted one of the top scores in the state and has won at a local VEX IQ event.

Alongside this exciting elementary competition, the Grandville Public Schools' robotics program will partner with Amazon to host an Educational Robotics Expo.  This hands-on event will run from 10am2pm and will feature robots from school programs including: FIRST Lego League, VEX Go, VEX IQ, Robot Combat, FIRST Robotics Competition, VEX V5, Bell AVR, RECF Aerial Drones, Square One Underwater Rovers, VEX AI, and MultiGP Drone Racing.  Attendees can learn about the technology featured in each of these programs. They can get information on starting teams like these in their own schools. The head coaches from the Grandville RoboDawgs will be on hand to talk with visitors about organizing, funding, and competing with robots in the air, on the ground, and underwater.

Grandville Public Schools

Grandville Public Schools has been a leader in educational robotics for 28 years. Beginning with one high school robotics team in 1998, the program has now grown to include more than 160 teams. The Grandville High School RoboDawgs are one of the United States' largest and most accomplished high school robotics teams.  Grandville High School fields teams that compete in the VEX V5 Robotics, FIRST Robotics Competition, VEX AI, and Bell Advanced Vertical Robotics. The RoboDawgs are State robotics champions in seven of the last nine years and reigning VEX AI World Champions.  Grandville high school teams build autonomous vehicles to compete on land, water, and in the air.
