HAMILTON, Mont. – A Hamilton man is facing charges after he allegedly pulled out a gun at the Rainbow Bar last Friday. A man is facing two counts of assault with a weapon, which are felonies, and one count of carrying a concealed weapon while under the influence, which is a misdemeanor.
Court documents say on December 6, 2024, witnesses saw two men fighting inside the bar. The witness attempted to break up the fight and saw a man reach for a handgun concealed in his waistband. Court docs say the witness believed he intended to shoot. The witness managed to keep him subdued while others in the bar removed the gun from the man's hand.
Multiple witnesses told police they saw the man pull a handgun from his waistband and point it at the victim during the fight. Another witness, reported that earlier the same man had pulled a handgun and pointed it at them and the victim outside Marley’s Bar.
The man's bond has been set at $10,000.
