HARLEM, GA (WFXG) - A student at Harlem High School has been charged following an altercation in the computer lab. A notice was sent to Harlem High School parents regarding the incident, which took place during a class held in a computer lab.

The administration team and the Columbia County School District Police were immediately notified of the disruption and responded promptly. Upon investigation, the student was removed from the classroom, causing a delay in class changes for about 10 minutes.

Further investigation revealed that one student and one teacher were struck during the altercation, but no injuries were reported. However, a second student involved in the altercation was injured and treated by the school nurse. The student responsible is facing criminal charges and will also be held accountable according to the code of conduct.
