The Idaho Public Utilities Commission will accept testimony Monday from East Idaho residents on a proposed application by Rocky Mountain Power to increase its rates.
When: 4 p.m., Dec. 16
Where: Idaho Department of Fish and Game, 1345 Barton Rd., Pocatello
In May, the company filed an application with the commission to increase rates for the average residential customer over two years — 17.9% in 2025, or about $19.90, and 5.3% or about $6.94 in 2026.
However, Rocky Mountain Power recently filed a proposed settlement in which it agreed to, among other things, a 16.8% increase to base rates in 2025, with no additional rate increase in 2026. The commission can approve, deny or modify the proposed settlement.
In-person attendance is required to submit testimony. Those interested in listening in can call 1-415-655-0001 and enter meeting number 2864 793 8995 when prompted.
