MEMPHIS, Tenn. - A man was arrested Monday after he allegedly shot at a hotel manager in Memphis.
Court documents allege that Sidney Johnson, 37, was not staying at the Economy Hotel on Lamar Avenue on April 28 when he asked the staff if he could get his belongings from a room. When he was told no, Johnson shot at the manager but missed, records show.

Johnson was booked Monday at 201 Poplar on multiple charges, including aggravated assault, records show.
In court documents, the hotel manager was identified as Morris Marvin. Earlier this month, he was arrested for assaulting a woman, bribing a witness and tampering with evidence, records show.

The Economy Hotel on Lamar is no stranger to problems: Earlier this year, it was declared by Memphis Police as a public nuisance.
It had since reopened.
