A $20,000 cash-only bond was set this week for a Greene County man accused in a firearms case.

Cache Kenneth Clark, 34, of Paragould was arrested July 22 on suspicion of possession of firearms by certain persons and two counts of misdemeanor fleeing.

According to the affidavit, police went to a residence around 1:15 a.m. July 22 to help with the recovery of a stolen vehicle and found out the vehicle was taken by Clark.

“Police arrived at the residence and noted Clark fled the scene on foot. The owner of the vehicle requested that police search their vehicle prior to them taking possession, and a subsequent search of the vehicle yielded a sawed-off shotgun and miscellaneous clothing,” Paragould police said.

Police later went to another residence around 7:45 a.m. about an unwanted person.

Officers got to the scene and found Clark, who fled again, police said.

However, he was arrested after a short foot chase.

Clark was being held in the Greene County jail awaiting an arraignment in circuit court.
